Rylex Custom Cabinetry & Closets is looking for an experienced Custom Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter to join our growing team.
We design, manufacture, and install high-quality custom cabinetry and closet systems throughout the Hudson Valley. Every project is designed specifically for the client, which means no two installations are exactly alike. If you enjoy precision craftsmanship, problem-solving, and creating beautiful finished spaces, we'd like to meet you.
We're not looking for production installers. We're looking for a craftsman who takes pride in quality work, enjoys solving installation challenges, and understands that every custom project is unique.
What You'll Do
- Install custom cabinetry and closet systems.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and installation plans.
- Scribe cabinets to walls for a seamless fit.
- Install fillers, trim, moldings, and finishing details.
- Problem-solve on-site to ensure a professional finished product.
- Use laser levels and precision measuring tools.
- Work professionally and respectfully in occupied homes.
- Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout each installation.
- 1-2 years of cabinet installation, finish carpentry, or closely related experience.
- Strong finish carpentry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform layout work.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in your craftsmanship.
